Education/recreation-life enrichment opportunities thru variety of programs education and social activities in a friendly active atmosphere.

Food services provides and administers the Meals on Wheels program for the greater Newark area, serving home bound members of our community. The Center also hosts a freshly prepared lunch each day featuring soups, salads, sandwiches and a complete meal for a very affordable fee open to the community. Lunch is served from 11:45 - 1:00 Monday through Friday.

The Social Services Director provides resources and recommendations for community based services for seniors, caregivers and their families. The S.S.D also coordinates assistance with Medicare, Community Legal Aid, Stand By Me and other services. A wide range of support groups are offered.

The NSC provides door to door transportation services for members to attend the Center 5 days per week. On Friday each week the Center offers a shopping trip to local centers to enable members of community to maintain independence and avoid social isolation.

Meeting of Minds is a guided group experience for those experiencing the early stages of memory loss. This program provides and opportunity for socialization, mental and physical activities and respite for the caregiver.
