Serviam girls academy educates on average 60 girls, grades 5 - 8, with a comprehensive model that includes an extended 10-hour day and 10.5-month year, including a mandatory four-week summer program; small class sizes; and, a graduate support program that works with serviam graduates through high school graduation and into college. 1.Serviam's 14 member class of 2021 were offered over $720,000 in scholarships and aid to nine local high schools. The rising freshmen are enrolled in the following high schools: delcastle technical high school, hodgson vo-tech high school, howard high school of technology, mot charter, padua academy, st. Mark's high school, ursuline academy, and wilmington Christian. Our mission is to prepare girls to succeed in high school, thus the vast majority of our budget is geared toward this specific goal.2.Serviam's 12 members of the class of 2017 graduated from high school. Over 100% will matriculate into the following colleges: howard university, immaculate university, lincoln university, neumann university, pace university, university of connecticut; ursinus university, wilmington university, and xavier university of LA.3.After 11 years at one site, serviam girls academy moved its location in July, 2020 to to 900 north washington street downtown wilmington, de. The school was renovated before the move and then prepared for adherence to CDC and de division of public health covid-safety guidelines to ensure safe re-entry. Serviam opened these new doors to a hybrid model in September, 2020 alternating weeks of in person and virtual learning, and then continually adapted to meet the needs of our students, finally providing in person instruction to all students the last few months of the year. 4.Serviam was awarded middle states accreditation this spring, 2021 after rescheduling our site visit from late March, 2020 to November, 2020.5.Serviam had its highest grossing year in its 13 year history, raising approximately $1.25 million towards operating expenses and an additional $138,000 to renovate our multi-purpose gym space!
